Club foot is a condition that affects one from birth. It is characterized by the inward or outward turning of one or both feet. This turn is caused by the tendons that connect the foot to the ankle being drawn and tight. The turn can slight or so severe the foot seems to be almost be facing upward. This condition makes it painful or impossible for the person to walk. Club foot can be fixed by surgery, but that option is often used as a last resort. A more common and non-invasive way is by casting the child's foot or by the use of a soft boot in order help stretch the tight tendons.
